Located along the ancient canal in Huai'an, Sunac Canal View draws inspiration from the continuous flow of canal waters. Super Normal uses the concept of "water" as a design metaphor, extending its fluidity into the spatial design language to reflect the city's identity and revive the historical stories of the land. Balancing the tangible and intangible, movement and stillness, as well as the real and imagined, the project leverages space as a medium to explore more composite experiential scenarios and lifestyles, pioneering a dual-purpose sales and community center.
The fluidity of water embodies transitions and rhythms, orderly and seamless. Inspired by the essence of canal waters, the design embeds this metaphor into the space, pushing the boundaries of composite experiential possibilities for the future. This concept serves as the core of Super Normal's proposal for Sunac Canal View in Huai'an. By integrating tranquil aesthetics and social attributes, the project redefines the traditional sales office model, evolving it into a space that nurtures dreams, vitality, and visions of a brighter future.
"Simplicity within complexity" is both a design philosophy and the essence of refined living. The design adopts a minimalist approach to structural form, using continuous and streamlined structures to create visually dynamic experiences. The second-floor community center explores future-oriented, multi-dimensional spatial possibilities. Its free-flowing pathways and open sequential environments enable greater interaction, supporting diverse functional uses such as reading, relaxation, socializing, and activity hosting—all easily adaptable to changing needs.
